Our Thermocharger solution takes the exhaust heat produced by compressor turbines on natural gas pipelines, recovers it in a heat exchanger, then converts that heat into chilling.

We use that reclaimed energy to regulate the temperature of the air being drawn into the compressor. This guarantees optimum compressor performance regardless of ambient air temperature.

Implementation of our system will result in:

  • An increase of 14% gas throughput on the hottest days of the year.
  • Net 1.6% less CO2 produced per scf of natural gas.
  • A year-round stable and predictable pipeline throughput allowing for higher volume commitments on firm supply contracts.
  • A total return on investment of under 2 years.
  • A reduction in methane used by 2.7% on an annual basis (Scope 2 methane).
